Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, NCS, Chukwuedo Humphrey, told the Nigerian News Agency (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja that the two inmates were still in custody.

Humphrey said the clarification became necessary in light of an online media post alleging that Wadume and Osinachi’s husband escaped.

“Efforts are underway to recover all the fleeing inmates.

“The Comptroller General, NCS, Haliru Nababa, is determined to continue to improve the welfare and safety of inmates,” he said.
