NCDC records 1,149 new cases of coronavirus infection

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 1,149 cases of COVID-19. The latest figure is the highest single-day figure since February 16 when the agency reported 1,572 cases. On Wednesday, the agency said the cases were reported in 15 states and the federal capital territory (FCT). Lagos, the hardest-hit state, reported 680 cases, followed by Rivers with 157 infections, while Akwa Ibom is third on the chart with 94 cases.
