Today, work is at an advanced stage in building proper sanitation posts (toilets) for the pupils. It’s sad that at the moment, the children do not have a toilet and still dedicate in the Bush. This causes outbreaks and further put the kids at risk. Nature is inescapable. When it calls, no one has the ability to refuse.
According to the 2018 National Outcome Routine Mapping, NORM, Report, 48 million Nigerians defecate in the open while the country loses N455 billion (US$ 1.3b) annually due to poor sanitation, placing Nigeria as the second in the world behind India with open defecation.
I appreciate our team of warriors who are the movers and shakers for leaving no stone unturned to ensure that no child continues to be at risk for lack of a proper toilet.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has. “We will all be measured by how much we contribute to the success of the people around us”
