The pragmatic and ebullient Prime Minister of Republic of Guinea Bissau, Engr Nuno Gomes Nabiam, has today met with his Portuguese counterpart, Antonio Costa, in a hearty bilateral talks geared towards strengthening the historical deep-rooted mutual relationship that have existed between the two countries for decades.
According to a powerful tweet from Mr Antonio Costa, expressing optimism on the visit.
“I met today with PM from #Guinea-Bissau, Nuno Nabiam, to whom I underlined my personal commitment in the fraternal relationship between #Portugal and Guinea-Bissau. This relationship must live up to the historical ties that unite our peoples” the tweet concludes.
Being a former colony of the Portuguese from who they gained their independence, Guinea Bissau have continued to enjoy healthy bilateral relationship with Portugal to date.
But this time, the leadership of General Umaro Sissoco Embalo and Minister Nuno Gomes Nabiam, who as leaders have insisted that the relationship Guinea Bissau share with their allies must be exploited to the fullest advantage of the people of Guinea Bissau, hence their many bilateral engagements since assumption of office in February, 2020.
It is pertinent therefore, to note that the significance of this particular meeting cannot be overemphasized because what a nation needs to make the quantum leap is to be blessed with the right leaders at the right time.
There’s no doubt then that the Republic of Guinea Bissau will continued to enjoy the dividends of Democracy occassioned by foresight and pragmatic leadership of two men with burden to change the fortunes of their Nation.
