OHAFIA: Earlier today, Ohafia Local Government Area TC Chairman Hon. Chief Mba Ukaha flagged off the free quick Hepatitis test program of the Rotary Club of Ohafia Central to observe the 2019 World Hepatitis Zero Eradication Project.
The free medical exercise features screening of blood for the deadly disease (Hepatitis B and C), door to door advocacy and awareness campaign.
The Chairman during the flag off at Elu Health Care Centre, Elu Ohafia stressed on the need for people to engage in the exercise while thanking the President and other members of the Rotary Club of Ohafia Central for the kind gesture towards the community, adding that the program is in tune with the health care agenda of Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu.
He also urged the people to take good advantage of the free medical exercise and get tested of the deadly disease.
The highlight of the occasion was testing and offering counseling services to the mammoth crowd who has turned out for the exercise at no cost to them.
The event continues tomorrow at other health centers including Ebem, Amaekpu and Asaga respectively.
