When the people of Arochukwu and Ohafia federal constituency elected him into office in 2015, the normal expectation of represention was the general feelings. Six years down the line, the narrative has significantly changed. Hon. Uko Ndukwe Nkole has made a difference, breaking new grounds and beyond Representation, he’s been constantly and consistently leading from the front from all sides. His interventions knows no bounds.
If he’s not attracting the construction or repairs of Bridges and roads in his constituency, he’s busy handing over the keys of cars, motorbikes or homes he built for vulnerable widows, beside his interventions in the area of stomach infrastructure to the people of his constituency and beyond.
At the floor of the green Chambers, Chief Nkole is regarded as a strong voice. His quality contributions are regularly felt and remains outstanding and remarkable. In every side, he’s just blazing the trail. A rare gift to the people of Arochukwu and Ohafia and indeed Abians in general.
Just last week, the Onyerubi Abam born parliamentarian was on the news again, for the right reason as well. He approved for the commencemet of the third phase of the distribution of his Education empowernment Programme to public primary and secondary schools within his constituency, which by implication, wasn’t his first nor second but third.
As at the last count, over 80 such schools have benefitted from the various modern teaching and learning materials and infrastructures of Hon. Uko Ndukwe Nkole philanthropic gestures.
While responding to a group of New Wigs led by Mrs. Chinwe Nwokocha who came on a ‘Thank you’ visit to his office a fortnight ago, Hon. Nkole told them that he always have the desire to support academic pursuits of everyone who reaches out to him for such, including those not of his constituency, as he believes that it was the minimum push towards a better life.
Chief Nkole knows and believes that education unlocks the doors to hidden opportunities and treasures, and that the world can get better with more literate fellows, with the primary education being the basic foundation.
The import of all these is that in virtually all public primary and secondary Schools in Arochukwu and Ohafia LGAs of the state, you would find a complete set of brigade bands, chalk boards replaced with white Maker boards, modern instructional materials, customized exercise books with packets of biros, mathematical sets for each pupil, filing cabinets, modern pupil’s tables and chairs, furnished head teacher’s office and so on and so forth. The idea is that the standard have been raised with the quality of education increased. The good old days are back and the environment, now conducive, as Public schools can now pridefully compete with their urban counterpart.
An Igbo adage succinctly captures it this way, “when the bathroom is well prepared for the woman, she then takes her bath unlimitedly and arbitrarily”. Thats the current position.
One of those who could not hide his feelings following the arrival of the materials to community primary school Elughu Nkporo is Chief Dr. Patrick O. Ogbuagu (The Eze Aja of Nkporo). Hear him; “I am here to thank you, Hon. Uko Nkole for your good works, you have indeed shown that you have great plans and intentions for this school, and the entire Nkporo community”.
“In Nkporo, You have become an answer to our prayer and heart desires”.
“You shall attain your desired pursuit in life, expecially politically in Jesus name”. And I add Amen!
For those schools who are yet to experience the Hon. Nkole’s Midas touch, my message is very clear and simple, ‘Be patient, like a train, it will soon land in yours’ and you shall then offer similar prayers as Chief Patrick Ogbuagu did.
