“As a man with interest of Nigeria at heart, I will never cease to lend my voice and opinion on matters that bothers on the need for a prosperous and progressive Nigeria of which I am eternally convinced that the Peoples Democratic Party has an enormous role to play in salvaging what is left of Nigeria, thereby making hays while the sunshine”

Once again, Chief Dr. Emeka Kalu, spoke on the myriad of challenges confronting the greatest and the largest party in Africa in a statement made available to the press and signed by his aide on media and publicity, Comr. Amos Kalu.

Chief Kalu condemned the prevailing disunity in the party and called on all party members to throw their weight behind the presidential candidates of the party who is seeking redress at the Supreme Court in order to retrieve the mandate stolen from Nigerians in broad daylight, insisting that such can be achieved if the party will find it necessary and paramount to be united in purpose rather than playing Politics of individualism that has caused the party so much of recent.

He also insisted that if the party must favorably contest in 2023 to regain all lost States and positions, the party must come together to support Atiku and articulate as one big family because a family that is divided among itself can never stand. “This is one of the weaknesses I have noticed in the party and it is costing us so much in many states. I believe the time to deal with that is now as we cannot claim to be a party while our own interest is only individual-Centered.

“In the interest of the party, we must come together first so that it will help us to harness and strengthen the bond that binds us together as one big family”.

Chief Kalu further called on the leadership of the party at the national level to come down from their high horse and try to carry every Party member along by making consultations and reconciliations where necessary. “There have been complaints from many who believe that their interest is not protected by the Party hence the division and separation experienced in the party.

“Therefore, I am of the opinion that the only solution to this is if we go back to our drawing board and check ourselves to know where the rain started beating us and the earlier we do that the better for the repositioning and progress of the party from now to the next political dispensation of 2023.
