Nigeria’s accountant-general suspended over alleged N80bn fraud

The Accountant-General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris, has been suspended indefinitely over alleged N80 billion fraud. He was suspended by the Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Zainab Ahmed, on Wednesday. Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has confirmed that the popular Instagram celebrity, Pascal Okechukwu popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, is currently in their custody. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 31 suspected internet fraudsters in Benin City, capital of Edo State.
