A Catholic priest in Ikabigbo community, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, popularly known as Rev. Father Osia was on Sunday morning kidnapped by gunmen. The victim was whisked away by gunmen as he was preparing for Sunday Mass when his residence was invaded. A source, who sought for anonymity in the community, said that the community vigilante group were already combing the bush to ensure they rescue the priest. The Commander of the Ondo State Security Network, otherwise known as Amotekun, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, has revealed that some of the suspects involved in the June 5 terror attack at Saint Francis Catholic Church, Owo, have been apprehended. Deborah Samuel: Court remands two suspects in prison

A Magistrate Court sitting in Sokoto has remanded two suspects arrested over the murder of a 200-level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Deborah Samuel, for alleged blasphemy. The Police arraigned the two suspects, Bilyaminu Aliyu and Aminu Hukunchi, who are also students of the college, on Monday.
