Gov. Tambuwal urges President Buhari to declare emergency on banditry

Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State says the declaration of a state of emergency on banditry would enable security operatives to access to clear bandits’ enclaves and other hideouts. Tambuwal made the call on Wednesday in Sokoto when he received a delegation of the North West States Governors Forum. The delegation was led by Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State on a condolence visit over the killing of 23 travelers in Sokoto State by bandits. Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State on Thursday confirmed the killing of 43 persons in Monday’s bandits attack on Illela Local Government Area of the state.
